Druid Ireland | The New Electric Ballroom:

Dec 2-6:

Branded, marked and scarred by talk,” explains Breda. “Boxed by words.” Humiliated by gossip after a dancehall scandal during their halcyon days, Breda and her similarly past-50 sister Clara have retreated into isolation and obsession. With their much-younger sister Ada, they recount the fateful day and the choices that followed. Enda Walsh’s funny and tender-hearted play reveals how much we are defined by the stories we tell, and how compelled we are to tell them.

Teatr Zar | Triptych

Dec 1-3:
Years in the making, Teatr Zar’s “Triptych” is an intimate, haunting experience. In three discrete sections—“Gospels of Childhood,” “Caesarean Section” and “Anhelli”—these ingredients meld into potent stories of love, death, suicide and redemption. Director Jaroslaw Fret and his international cast present “Triptych” for a very limited audience in Royce Hall.
