During the first two weeks of the spring semester (January 19-31, 2010), the School of Theater will participate in an INTERIM session, along with the School of Music and certain programs from other schools.

ALUMNI ASSOCIATION FOUNDER’S BALL
Each year the Alumni Association convenes CalArts alumni, faculty, staff and friends to pay tribute to individuals who made a significant contribution to the lives of CalArts alumni and the greater arts community. On Saturday, November 14, 2009, alumni from across the country will meet at REDCAT to celebrate the 2009 honorees. This year’s recipients of the Lulu Award, which recognizes community members who embody the founding spirit of CalArts, are John Bergamo, former faculty in the Herb Alpert School of Music, and Christyne Lawson, former Dean of the Lund School of Dance. This year’s recipient of the Nellie Award, which recognizes alumni who have made significant contributions to CalArts and the arts community, is Betzy Bromberg, Director of CalArts’ Program in Film and Video. This year’s honorary alumni are V. Shannon Clyne, CalArts Trustee Emeritus, and Leo Hobaica, Assistant Dean of CalArts’ School of Film/Video.

Directed by: Marissa Chibas & David Roitstein Come celebrate tu gente (your people) with the CalArts School of Music and CalArts School of Theater on Thursday May 8th & Friday May 9th in E-400. Also, for a special performance at Plaza de la Raza, in Los Angeles, on Monday May 11th. All shows start @ 7:00 PM and the best part about it is you don't need a ticket to get in because there are none! So, come mi gente (my people) and come be apart of the celebration!
